ELECTRO - MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY:
We need a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to perform all necessary steps to manufacture electro-mechanical devices. Key process steps include but are not limited to main chassis assembly and test, soldering thru hole components and SMT, knowledge of Software installation and final system testing. Support and training will be provided by Engineers and Managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Basic manufacturing responsibilities and knowledge as part of a manufacturing team.
  • Crimping wires, Hand soldering and chassis assembly
  • Circuit board inspection, test, and integration into top assembly with paperwork.
  • Top level mechanical assembly, system test and quality inspections and packing/shipping.
  • Work place safety. Follow ESD requirements, and Company policies.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Minimum AA technical degree, four year technical degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum two or three years experience in a manufacturing environment, working hands on with chassis assembly, soldering, crimping with build-in quality attitude. Must know how to use basic tools.


SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have knowledge and experience: using right tools for crimping wires, industrial soldering standards, assemble chassis including routing cables,read drawings, BOM, follow Manufacturing and assembly procedures, ECN's, MDA. Must have a good attitude, good team skills, show up for work on timely basis, and be available 40 hours a week....these are vital to this position!


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Laboratory and Manufacturing area, spent almost 95% with electro-mechanical chassis assembly, will also conduct test and Inspections occasionally, will help with packing and shipping finished goods.

  • Location: Beltsville, MD
  • Must be American Citizen or be legal to work in USA.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak American English.
  • Work hours: 8am to 5pm. Monday thru Friday
